Week 1: My Acai Slim Down!

I’m not exactly overweight, but I have some inches that have seemed impossible to take off, even with a somewhat active lifestyle. I need a boost of some kind to get the body I really want. So I’m taking up my friend Amy’s new diet.

Anyway, Amy’s secret is a Brazilian berry called Acai. She learned about it on Oprah and Dr. Oz, her favorite show. A bunch of doctors, including Dr. Oz, Dr. Nicholas Perricone, and Dr. Weil call Acai the #1 superfood - it has weight loss and anti-aging and energizing properties. And when you take Acai berry, it kick starts your metabolism and gives you energy.

Week 2: Pretty good!
This is week two taking the Acai supplements and colon cleanse. I lost two pounds! I know it’s not a lot, but the difference is that I’m not fasting or anything. I’m eating normally and taking a little walk every day. It feels really good! I take the Acai before taking my walk and it really gets me motivated! And the colon cleanse isn’t that bad - I’m going to the bathroom a lot but it feels fine. I think it made a BIG difference shrinking down my tummy. I hope that means I’m getting cleaned out inside, because what’s coming out looks much darker than usual… sorry to be so specific
Week 3: I lost 3 pounds!
Week three was easy, and I lost 3 pounds this week! I didn’t take my walk 3 days this week because I had to walk to work. I even had some macaroni and cheese, but still the weight is coming off. Also - I think my love handles are looking a little less chunky. My tummy feels so much sexier!

Week 4: My New Tummy!
The fat layer on my tummy has really come off! You can see the center line going down to my belly button! I wasn’t planning to exercise, but the Acai really gives me a boost every time I take it, so this week I ended up doing like 30 situps. I couldn’t stop! After seeing my tummy, I want to do them even more. I hope I’m not getting addicted lol.
Week 5: Not much difference…
I don’t know. I’m not seeing that many changes. My tummy looks about the same, and I’ve looked at the video of my butt like ten times, and I don’t see a big difference. But I’m not going to get discouraged! I can’t have huge changes every week, and I’m really happy with the progres I’ve made so far. I’m even cutting back on caffeine to one cup a day at night, just to study. One Acai in the morning gives me all the energy I need.
Week 6: Nice butt
This week, I’m really seeing my butt get a lift. It’s actually kind of perky now
And I’m really seeing the line going down my abs. I call my tummy abs now. And my love handles are looking like hips. They don’t have that “cornery” look they had before. My boyfriend Bobby was talking about my body today. He didn’t say anything about losing weight, but he said I looked awesome! (don’t tell him I said that.)) I can’t believe I’ve already been doing this for six weeks, doesn’t feel that long!
Week 7: Lots of energy today!!!!!!!!!!
Week 7. I think the biggest change is on my back over my butt. It looks a lot smoother there, not as chunky. Otherwise it’s the same. I don’t know if I should keep taking the colon cleanse, because I don’t know if it’s doing anything, but I guess it is! I still love my Acai in the morning.
Week 8: Do you see any difference?
This week I had to look at the video a few times to see any difference (I don’t have a big mirror at my place). But at least I’m not looking worse
I bought a bunch of carrots this week, and I keep them handy in case I feel like snacking. Nice and crunchy!
Week 9: My new abs!
Yay! I can flex my abs and see it! It’s so fun looking at my tummy in the mirror - its totally expressive! It used to be just blank fat. I have lots of energy and am feeling good.
Week 10: I have a NEW BODY!
I DID IT! I HIT MY GOAL! It was NOT that bad.. I just had to commit to 10 weeks. I’m going to keep taking the acai FOREVER!!! Thanks everybody for your support! Thanks Amy for giving me the idea to do the acai slim down! And I’m going to Maui this WEEK! I don’t usually feel this proud of my body, but I do because I worked on it. It wasn’t even that hard - it was just deciding to do a few things.
Week 11: Now its YOUR TURN!
Okay, I’m getting asked every day why I look different. I guess people see it in my face as well!
But everyone wants to know what I did, too.
I’m a little freaked out to be giving everybody advice, but I really want to help you, so here it is.
